Energy bionics is a specific area among various areas under the processing bionics subfield. Energy bionics poses further advances towards energy sector, while reconnects with nature and sources ideas for solutions in the natural world. Energy bionics also connects various disciplines such as biochemistry, biophysics, biology, biotechnology, life sciences and others.
Energy field has essential role in confronting challenges to resolve climate change consequences. It is not just a question of formation of decarbonised energy systems with present efficient energy technologies. The horizon has to be broadened towards newly invented systems with highly effective technologies and minimal needs for energy. The proposed pathway to accomplish these objectives lies in emulating the biological energy systems in animals, plants and cycling of compounds in various ecosystems in general. Evolving field of energy bionics is presenting principals to solve this situation, while nature provides optimal solutions from the years of evolution.
